Privacy Policy
This policy covers two apps: NXT, the workout tracker for individuals, and NXT Gym, the companion app gym owners use to manage their gym. Together with our website (joinnxt.app) we refer to them as the “apps” (“we”, “our”). We collect as little as possible; this explains what each app does with your data.
Data stored on your device
In the NXT app, your workout content — templates, exercises, logged sets, workout history, and settings — is stored locally on your device. If you never sign in, it stays there and is never sent to us. You can erase it any time from Settings → Reset local data, or by deleting the app.
Accounts
Creating an account is optional for solo use, but is required to join a gym. We use Supabase (our backend provider) to store your email address and to keep track of your access (a lifetime purchase, or free access granted by a gym). To delete your account and associated data, email us at the address below.
Workout data sync
When you are signed in, your completed workouts are synced to our backend so they are available to your gym and to you across devices. This includes the exercises you did, your sets, weights, reps, and workout dates and durations. If you do not sign in, nothing is synced. Deleting your account removes this synced data.
Gyms and coaches
If you join a gym (by scanning its code or link), your account is linked to that gym. The gym’s owner — and, in future, coaches they authorise — can see your email address, the date you joined, and your workout activity (including your logged workouts and summary stats such as your number of workouts and last workout). Gym owners see this to run their gym; they are responsible for handling it appropriately. You can leave a gym at any time by contacting us to remove the membership.
For gym owners (NXT Gym)
If you use NXT Gym, we store your account email, your gym’s details (name and a join code), and your subscription status. Through the app you can view your members’ emails and workout activity as described above. You must have a lawful basis to invite members and must handle their information responsibly and in line with applicable law.
Purchases
NXT offers a one-time lifetime purchase; NXT Gym is a subscription. Payments are processed by Apple — we never see or receive your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to manage and validate purchases and subscriptions; it receives your App Store transaction information and an app-user identifier in order to determine your entitlement.
What we don’t do
- No analytics or usage tracking, and no advertising or ad identifiers.
- No selling or sharing of your personal data for advertising.
- No access to your contacts, location, photos, microphone, or Apple Health data.
Third-party services
Depending on how you use the apps, data may be handled by:
- Apple — App Store, purchases, and subscriptions.
- RevenueCat — purchase and subscription management and validation.
- Supabase — account, access, and (when you are signed in) workout-activity storage.
Each provider’s own privacy policy governs the data they process.
Data retention
We keep account and synced data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, entitlements, gym membership, and synced workout data. Local data on your device is removed when you reset data or delete the app.
Children
The apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
